Technology Support and Engagement for Families
EUSD is working with Common Sense Media to bring you up-to-date and evolving information, materials, podcasts, and webinars to support our families with addressing everyday media and tech concerns. Common Sense Media provides us with expert panelists, research-backed tips and tools (in English and Spanish) for you to share.
We know. Kids are constantly using devices in and out of school for learning and connection—meanwhile, the adults in their lives are trying to keep pace. That's why our whole-community approach to digital citizenship helps to create a shared language and reinforce lessons in everything from online safety to digital well-being.
Family Tech Planners
You can use this planner to set rules for screen time as a family. Talk with your kids about which platforms and devices are okay to use, like TV, tablets, phones, and video games. And decide together when, where, and for how long they can use them. Be sure to let your kids share their ideas, too!
