Olivenhain Pioneer Elementary School is a nurturing, cooperative, learning environment that promotes a sense of ethics as a shared and collaborative educational experience.  As a beacon drawing parent, community members, organizations and businesses into a paternership with staff and students, this unique coalition provides opportunities for learning and service in a setting that is meaningful and powerful link to the expanding educational arena .  Family involvement and the encouragement of shared decision making creates a sense of belonging and ownership in our school..  This bond empowers children to become self-confident, intrinsically motivated, and successful citzens of tomorrow.

As a school community, we come together to provide an intellectually challenging, meaning-centered, thinking curriculum built on a solid foundation of fundament skills, enrichment , and a broad base of knowledge. Through instruction in effective communication, physical well-being, values, and responsible decision making, there is an environment that maximizes the individual development of each child. An appreciation of diversity is balanced with recognition of commonalties in such a way that each child’s "personal best" is encouraged.

The competent and enthusiastic staff of Olivenhain Pioneer Elementary is committed to working in collaborative teams to build a school of high performance learning that fosters personal accountability in a nurturing environment. The staff members are knowledgeable, life-long learners who model creative problem solving through an interactive approach to curriculum development, student grouping, and instructional design. By providing access to and experience with state of art resources, the staff and students develop strong skills in the utilization of technology as a tool to acquire, understand, and disseminate information.
