1995 Leadership Conference Over 100 leaders of the Encinitas Union School Districtparents, teachers, staff, principals and district management teamtook part in a unique and powerful Shared Decision Making Leadership Conference in January. The weekend conference started the new year with enthusiasm and allowed participants to focus on shared decision making and implications for site-based management teams. Dr. Elaina Hershowitz, San Diego County Office of Education, gave her time and talent, the county provided excellent facilities, and Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Doug DeVore, chaired the conference. These elements helped transform Dr. Patricia Clark Whites vision of a leadership conference into a reality. Participants left the conference with insights and skills they will use to shape the future for the children of our district. |
