Dear
Parents:
Success is measured in many waysbut to us, the most successful among us are those
who pitch in, who roll up their sleeves, who sacrifice selflessly in the service of
children.
This year hundreds of parents, businesses and community members joined many dedicated
staff members to help us provide rich learning experiences for our children. They worked
in classrooms, in fundraising, in committees and councils. They dialogued with us, shared
their ideas, helped us plan, prepare, implement and evaluate. They researched, studied,
invented new ways, collaborated, helped and supported each others tireless efforts.
Their constructive leadership was recognized by our Board of Trustees on the evening of
May 22 in our salute to the Stars of Encinitas! This issue of The Envoy is dedicated to
the wonderful people of our district and our community who truly do put CHILDREN FIRST!
We wish you and your family sunny days and happy times this summer!
Sincerely,
Patricia Clark White, Ed.D.
District Superintendent
