Jeri Kalvin named
Jeri helps out whenever there is a need for
a substitute instructional assistant. In addition to supporting technology, Jeri works
with Capri's GATE students and has been Capri's staff sponsor of the Cougar Citizen, Capri's
student newspaper, since 1989. Before working in the District, Jeri was a free-lance
illustrator designing t-shirt designs for colleges and restaurants. She was also involved
in the city of San Diego's Gas Lamp Renovation project. Jeri has served the Capri School community well while working as an
Instructional Assistant in the area of computer technology. In Jeri's current position,
she has gained the admiration and respect from students, staff, and parents for her
remarkable patience and because of her ability to work with a full range of student
abilities. She is attentive to student and staff needs and "goes beyond the call of
duty" to help solve network, software and hardware problems. She enjoys the
challenges of her job as well as working with the students on a daily basis and finds
satisfaction with her work when the students finally
"get it." Jeri is also proud of the time several years ago when
she taught Capri teachers how to use computers for the first time. Jeri is a team player and a very dependable worker who gives her all
to the position of Instructional Assistant. Capri students, parents, and staff will
testify that Jeri is a tremendous asset to the school's staff, students, and community.
Even in the midst of a chaotic day, Jeri always remains pleasant and even-tempered. Thanks to Jeri for her dedication to provide service to the Capri School Community. Congratulations Jeri Kalvin. |
