Administrators of the Year named
Dr. DeVore has been with the district
since 1994 and has served as the Superintendent for the past eight years.
During his tenure as Superintendent the district has achieved numerous
successes. Under his leadership all nine schools have been recognized as
California Distinguished Schools and two of the district’s schools, La Costa
Heights and Olivenhain Pioneer, have been selected as National Blue Ribbon
Schools. Dr. DeVore was appointed Superintendent in the fall of 1997 and
took over the beginning stages of the implementation for Prop O’s 29.5
million dollar modernization projects for all nine schools. DeVore has
Abby Saadat has been with the district for one year. He has many years of school business office experience. Prior to becoming Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, Abby served as Director of Accounting with the Fallbrook Union School District, Financial Accounting Technician with the San Diego County Office of Education, and Administrative Aide in the San Diego Unified School District. Needless to say, he brings extensive experience to the District in school financial management and leadership. During Abby's brief tenure in the District, he has quickly established himself as a thoughtful, caring, and very personable individual. His warm and engaging personality has won him popularity with all he meets. He is a welcomed addition to our management team. |

been active in the
community for many years. He serves on the City of Encinitas Liaison
Committee and is active in the Encinitas Rotary Club. He is currently the
Co-Chair of the San Diego County Superintendents Technology Advisory
Committee, the President of the California Association of Low Wealth School
Districts and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Classroom of The
Future Foundation. He was recently recognized as the Superintendent of the
Year by the North County Association of California School Administrators
local chapter.
