of the Year Named
2006-07

Congratulations to Dr. Gail Patterson, Certificated Administrator of the Year, and Janet England, Classified Administrator of the Year.

Dr. Gail Patterson, Principal at Park Dale Lane School, is the years' Certificated Administrator of the Year. Gail came to EUSD in 1994 when she was hired to be the Principal at Flora Vista School. While at Flora Vista, Gail brought great success to the school including California Distinguished School recognition, the California Scholastic Achievement Award, State and Regional winner of Destination ImagiNation, the Governor’s Performance Award, Inventor’s Showcase, KFMB Channel 8 Cool School Award, and Honor Roll recognition by the 9th District PTA. Under her leadership at Park Dale Lane School, the school has received California Distinguished School recognition.

Prior to Gail’s tenure as Principal at two of our schools in EUSD, she was a classroom teacher, a media specialist, assistant principal, and summer school principal. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics, Gail holds a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration, a Standard Elementary Teaching Credential, an Administrative Credential, and a Doctorate degree in Organization Leadership.

 

Janet England is this year's Classified Administrator of the Year. Janet is the Executive Secretary in BusinessServices. She has worked in the District since2002. In her role as Executive Secretary, Janet is professional and handles a variety of responsibilities in the Business Department including school boundary issues, donations, and inter- and intra-district transfers.
Fellow workers say Janet is a people person. She is characterized as charming, upbeat, competent, and conscientious. She has a pleasant disposition, a great sense of humor, and she is a team player. She is service oriented and treats customers, parents and co-workers courteously and with respect.

Before coming to the District as an employee, Janet was a parent in the District. She has served as PTA treasurer and auditor and has received the Honorary Service Award from the State PTA.
