Welcome to the Encinitas Union School District! Thank you for having an interest in our district and registering your child.
Access to Registration via the Home Connection Portal will be available beginning February 1, 2020.
Please note: To be eligible for enrollment, a student must currently reside in the Encinitas Union School District boundaries. Families in the process of moving into the school district may register a student once the student’s residency in the district is established.

Please review the following steps to complete the enrollment process:
STEPS TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD(REN)
Parents for each student of the Encinitas Union School District must create an account in the Home Connection Portal, complete the On-Line Pre-Registration Forms and upload or provide two(2) proofs of residency, proof of current student immunizations and a birth certificate. EUSD encourages parents to submit the registration online or contact your school of residence for assistance.
Former EUSD Students Returning the District: Please contact Amy León at firstname.lastname@example.org to re-activate your student’s existing record and assist you with the rest of the re-enrollment process. Click here (boundary map link) to find your neighborhood school.
Existing EUSD Families Registering a New Kindergartener: All existing Encinitas Union School District Families with NEW Students will use their Home Connection Portal for enrollment. Please log on to your Home Connection Portal at https://eusd.illuminatehc.com/login. Remember that your Username is your email on file with the district. If you have forgotten your Password, please select “Forgot Password” on the login page to reset it.
Once in the Portal, select “Pre-Registration”; then “Add Pre-Registration”
NOTE: If you do not have a Portal account, please contact your school office to help you set up your account.
Kindergarten Families: Click here for Kindergarten Registration Information. Your child must be five (5) years old on or before September 1 to enroll in Kindergarten. Kindergarten workshops are scheduled at each site to assist families who may need additional support or for those who may not have computer or internet access.
New Students to EUSD: All new student registrations will be submitted online through the Illuminate Home Connection Portal Access to the Home Connection Portal will be available beginning February 1, 2020.
STEP #1: What do I need to enroll my child?
1. To complete the pre-registration forms on the Home Connection Portal. Please complete ALL REQUIRED AREAS on each form using your computer. – If you do not have Internet access, please arrange to attend the Kindergarten Workshop listed or contact your school of residence for assistance.
2. Verification of age (birth certificate/passport) – upload where indicated
3. Current immunization records – download Immunizations for requirements. – enter dates on the immunization record and upload where indicated
4. Two (2) proofs of residency – upload where indicated
Additional Health Requirements for Kindergarten and First Grade The District complies with state-mandated health requirements and requires the following for school entry:
1. Report of Medical Examination for School Entry must be signed by the doctor performing the physical.
2. Oral Health Assessment must be signed by the dentist performing the examination.
