Regarding today’s modified lockdown at LCH:

All students and staff are and were safe on campus today. The modified lockdown has been lifted. We have been working with the Carlsbad Police Department to investigate, and the police have determined that the campus is safe.

There was a report of an unknown man outside of campus who was acting suspiciously. The students who were safely inside the campus fencing observed this man’s behavior and heard concerning statements. They notified school administration who collaborated with the Carlsbad Police Department and we placed the school on a modified lockdown. Due to the quick action of both students, staff and police, we were able to immediately take action and investigate the matter. The Carlsbad Police Department have investigated and determined that the campus is safe. As an extra precaution, the police will remain on campus for the rest of the school day.

We are asking parents to pick up students at their regular time and place. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
