The Golden Bell Award, sponsored by the California School Boards Association (CSBA), promotes excellence in Education by recognizing outstanding programs in school districts and county offices of education throughout California.  The program being honored is our Early Intervention Pre-school Program.

The Early Intervention Pre-school Program offers pre-school special needs students opportunities to integrate with typically developing children while receiving specially designed instruction. An on-site Head Start pre-school also works in collaboration with our program to provide mainstreaming opportunities and age appropriate peers.

Representatives from the CSBA conducted a site visitation on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 to validate our application.  The Golden Bell Awards were presented at an awards luncheon on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at the San Francisco Marriott.
