Technology Centers for K-3 Tuesday, February 12th from 3:00-4:30pm
Activities and ideas to enhance learning while effectively utilizing technology in the classroom. Participants will leave with ready-made technology lessons, valuable web resources, and on-line games that reinforce standards.

GOOGLE DOCS for the Classroom February 19th from 3:00-4:30pmWith Google Docs you can create and access documents and spreadsheets anywhere, anytime using a standard web browser. Students and teachers can edit and revise, share and collaborate in real time, and control who participates while keeping track of all revisions that have been made and by whom. The workshop will cover how to use Google Docs and some creative applications for the classroom. All teachers who are trained in Google Docs will be able to get free accounts for all their students.

Web Sites with WORDPRESS Thursday, February 21st from 3:00-5:00pm
Create your own teacher web site using Wordpress. This software will allow teachers to create and update their classroom web sites from both home and school. Wordpress has many easy to use layouts to choose from. You will be able to add links to favorite sites, upload audio, video and pictures and host your own blog from this site. After attending this training you will have an up and running web site.

Storytelling using Audacity Monday, February 25th from 3:00-5:00pm
Enhance student writing with Audacity by creating educational podcasts. Podcasting will give you a way to motivate students to read, write and share the stories they create. Use fairy tales, narratives, and favorite writing activities to take learning to a new level. Stories will come to life when students add sound effects and learn to use inflections in their voice when reading.
