Welcome to Flora Vista Elementary School, four times recognized as a California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education. The California School Boards Association also recognized Flora Vista as a Golden Bell Award winner for its Early Intervention Preschool Program.

Flora Vista serves approximately 450 students in grades K-6, and while we are one of nine innovative EUSD schools utilizing 1:1 student iPad technology and developing 21st-century learners, our school community also retains that warm feeling of a true neighborhood school. Centered as we are in the heart of the Village Park area of Encinitas, Flora Vista is a community that supports the concept of “Safe Routes to School” for pedestrians and bicycle riders, with many, many families walking and riding their bikes to and from school every day.

Even though Flora Vista students rank near the top of the county in the most recent CAASPP test scores, we never define our students or our success with these numbers. Developing World Ready Traits and Skills is one measure of our success, as is developing Leadership in Civics and Science. That ongoing success is one result of the partnership between dedicated professional staff and an involved enthusiastic community. We have an active and supportive PTA and Encinitas Educational Foundation (EEF), which provide support to many programs for students and families.

We appreciate your visit to our website and your support for our school!
