Does your student have a passion for film?
EUSD now has our very own Film Guild where students can explore the world of cinematography. We are looking for passionate, dedicated 4th-6th-grade students who would like to work alongside other enthusiastic filmmakers to design unique, creative films that can be shared with the community and included in film festival opportunities.
Students accepted into the Film Guild program will be required to attend Film Guild meetings and work toward creating thought provoking, inspiring films that cover subject matters appropriate for both school and community distribution. Students who apply should aspire to enhance their learning and abilities in film.
This year’s 120 Film Guild Apprentices have been notified of their acceptance into the program! At our Kick-Off meeting on January 6th students got to spend time with a USC Film School student, participate in academic discussions regarding copyright/fair use, understand storyboarding/scriptwriting, tour a real green room, discuss pre-production techniques AND experienced a Q&A with a Los Angeles Film and TV producer! Film Guild Chapters (School Sites) will meet at different days and times throughout each week to continue the learning and film creation process.
