RECEPTIONIST / OFFICE ASSISTANT

DEFINITION:

With direction, performs routine clerical tasks involving mail, phones, typing and filing; meets and greets visitors and provides routine, factual information upon request.

DUTIES:

Performs a wide variety of clerical work in the Superintendent's department including typing, proofreading, filing, recording information, receiving and routing telephone calls, greeting visitors, providing information on routine, procedural or directional questions; types from rough draft, copy, or notes; uses office machines and equipment; is responsible for distribution of incoming and outgoing mail including use of scales and postage meter; delivers out going mail to U.S. Postal Service daily; maintains District scrapbook; assists in preparation of documents for the Board of Trustees; assists with Board agendas, maintains Board attendance documentation, types memos, letters and requisitions as requested, prepares reports as requested, assists developers and maintains developer agreements, collect fees, and works with escrow companies, collects facilities use forms, and prepares invoice for facilities use, prepares facilities use report; receives and distributes incoming fax messages, distributes Board communications, assists sub caller in providing substitute teacher information to schools; does other related duties as assigned.
