
DEFINITION:
With direction, answers telephone and performs routine clerical tasks involving typing and filing; meets and greets visitors and provides routine, factual information upon request.
DUTIES:
Performs a wide variety of clerical work including typing, proofreading, filing, recording information, receiving and routing telephone calls, greeting visitors, providing information on routine procedural or directional questions; types from rough draft, copy, or notes; uses office machines and equipment; is responsible for distribution of incoming and outgoing mail including use of scales and postage meter; maintains District scrapbook; assists in preparation of documents for the Board of Trustees; does other related work as assigned.
