
DEFINITION:
Under general supervision, performs routine and specialized duties involving the processing and analysis of district accounting transactions and does other related work as assigned.
DUTIES:
Answers routine questions. Receives, assembles, tabulates, verifies and may reconcile bank statements; processes and files accounting data; performs responsible tasks related to the preparation and processing of invoices for payment; posts checks, balances, and adjusts accounts pertaining to proper payment of invoices including encumbrances, expenditures, and receipts; types various regular and special reports. Maintains office files, vendor files, and other files as required. Receives, sorts, and matches mail as required. Prepares journal and other accounting entries; prepares petty cash reimbursement payments and revolving cash payments, setting up and reconciling current liabilities; auditing student council monthly report bank statements, collects data, verifies accuracy and assists in preparation of various state and federal reports; performs related duties as assigned.
