
DEFINITION:
Assumes responsibilities for development and coordination of school and District level activities as they relate to English Learners.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Credential:
General Elementary, Standard Elementary, or Multiple Subjects Teaching. Bilingual Credential or Certificate of Competence.
Education:
Bachelor's degree, including all courses needed to meet credential requirements with specialization in bilingual and multicultural education.
Experience:
Three years of successful classroom teaching in the district is normally required before assignment to this position. Must have expertise in bilingual education.
Other:
Must exhibit fluency in both English and Spanish

SDAIE techniques and strategies
Standards in Action Lesson Design
