
DEFINITION
Under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendents of
Administrative Services and Educational Services, responsible for assisting
with the implementation of district wide testing program, intervention
program, infusion of technology across the curriculum, technology training,
hardware and software selection and implementation, coordination and
consolidation of electronic data management systems and information systems,
grant writing, and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Assists with the implementation and administration of State and local testing programs.
Assists with the development, implementation, and administration of District intervention programs.
Assists in the evaluation, implementation, integration, and infusion of technology into and across the curriculum.
Assists in the development, coordination, and scheduling of staff development for use of technology by teachers, staff and students to maximize understanding and use of technology, especially the integration of the Internet with instructional projects.
Analyzes hardware and software trends and developments, and make strategic recommendations relative to new advances, needs, and the appropriateness for inclusion in the District's Technology Plan. Prepare cost/benefit analysis of alternative hardware/software solutions and make appropriate recommendations.
Supports development and maintenance of the WAN and LANs.
Provides minor troubleshooting service for both hardware and software issues.
Provides assistance and support in the implementation of technical support solutions.
Coordinates the implementation and integration of electronic data management systems and other related information systems.
Acts as District liaison for the TIME Initiative and Classroom of the Future.
Explores alternative resources for funding instructional practices such as grant writing, business partnerships, and coordination of services.
Supervises the implementation of Federal, State, and local grants including evaluation and end-of-year reports.
Provides inservice to principals, staff and parents in grant writing techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE
Training and Experience:
Possess valid California Teaching and Administrative Services Credentials.
Doctorate degree required.
Knowledge of EUSD District operations and sites.
Familiarity with EUSD Technology Plan, WAN and LAN networks, and Internet.
Knowledge of hardware and software applications. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and telecommunications.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and evaluate employees.
Demonstrated ability to present workshops and training.
Ability to:
Communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, administrators, vendors, contractors, and community members.
Ability to
conceptualize and prioritize problems and hypothesize, implement, and evaluate solutions.Train staff.
Meet district standards for physical and mental health.
Personal qualities:
Self-motivated, self-directed learner, collaborative team player, constructive thinker and problem solver.
Possess professional appearance, grooming, and personality.
