services provided to children in our schools. You will also find the links

through the school district.
The Encinitas Union School District is located in the north coastal area of San Diego County. Our nine elementary schools are strategically located to serve local neighborhoods within the cities of Encinitas and Carlsbad. The district is proud of its legacy as a highly successful district that has received both federal and state recognition for its outstanding schools and extensive programs serving preschool through sixth grade children. Encinitas Union is one of five elementary school districts within the San Dieguito Union High School District – the district that serves students in the seventh through twelfth grades.
Our district’s vision is for all students, regardless of socioeconomic level, primary language proficiency, or ethnicity, to succeed academically, contribute to society, and lead productive, satisfying lives. We believe that children thrive in learning environments that are nurturing and intellectually challenging. Our high levels of student achievement, skilled professional staff, modern school facilities, and up-to-date instructional materials aligned to state and national standards are some of the key reasons the U. S. Department of Education has named two of our schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools, and the California Department of Education has awarded all nine schools their coveted California Distinguished Schools recognition.
Our motto is Together helping children reach for the stars!
We encourage parents and the community to take an active role as partners with the schools to ensure that our children have every opportunity to become lifelong learners, responsible members of our learning community, and skilled in integrating a variety of technological tools in their learning. Please contact your child’s school principal to learn about the many opportunities available within the schools to become an active partner through PTA, School Site Council, Encinitas Education Foundation, and other school and districtwide opportunities.
Together we can create rich learning environments for children enhanced by developing children’s passion for learning through integrating new technologies to promote inquiry, research and a thirst for new information.
We are committed to putting Children First!
