All About Mandarin
All About Mandarin uses a well-implemented academic and activity-based curriculum to enhance students' proficiency of Mandarin (Chinese) as a foreign language. Our program not only provides structural academic learning, it engages students' interest in learning Chinese. Through singing and playing immersion games, students will expand their vocabulary, practice speaking, recognize Chinese characters, and much more! Bricks 4 Kids
Designed and created by teachers, architects and engineering professionals, our hands-on curriculum introduces students to concepts of engineering, architecture and mechanics using LEGO bricks. Lessons from math, science, language arts, and social studies are integrated and discussed. Themes such as Transportation, Space, Inventions and Machines, Robotics and more provide variety and ensure a high level of interest and enthusiasm amongst our students. In our after-school classes, students are able to design and construct machines, buildings and other models using LEGO bricks and our propritary designs and plans. We offer classes throughout the year and provide all necessary materials for students to work within a lab-type setting. Problem solving skills, teamwork, and self-esteem are emphasized and enhanced. Center For Martial Arts
Students learn traditional Korean Martial Arts building confidence, self-discipline, physical agility, and self-defense ability from a caring, positive, highly-trained role model. Character Kids Theater
Character Kids offers instruction in acting, singing and musical theatre dance. Our curriculum includes improvisation, voice technique, stage movement, how to build a character, storytelling, musical theatre dance and audition technique, among other things. All of our classes are taught by local theatre professionals. Our mission is to help children develop imagination, social skills and a positive self image through the performing arts. ClubXcite offers a variety of unique after-school and summer programs. All of our program offer a 4 to 1 student to teacher ratio. The programs currently being offered are Legomation: LEGO Adventures with Stop Motion Animation, Creative Builders I: Rockets, Robots, and Racing and Creative Builders II: Xtreme Building Challenge. Fit Kids America strives to make fitness fun! We aim to expose students to fitness at an early age so it becomes a lifetime habit. Girls on the Run San Diego
Girls on the Run is an experiential after-school program that uses the power of running to prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The curriculum creatively incorporates training for a 5K with lessons that encourage third through sixth grade girls to develop essential life skills. Through interactive activities such as running, playing games, and discussing important issues, participants experience the joy of simply being themselves! JEI Learning Center: English Language Arts & Math
Algined with U.S. National Curriculum Standards, JEI Self-Learning Method will help develop confidence in students. We use JEI diagnostic tests to pinpoint a student's strengths and weaknesses, leading to individually paced, step-by-step learning. Monart offers a fun and educational drawing classes for children of all skill levels! One on One Basketball is proud to offer After School Hoops, a weekday afternoon basketball program for aspiring young players. Participants benefit by improving their individual skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding and defending while at the same time learning how to work within the framework of a team. Reading Stars With County Speech
Reading Stars is designed to enhance reading and writing skils of typically developing children in early Elementary School grades by increasing phonological awareness skills through a multisensory approach. Reading STARS enrichment classes integrate visual, auditory, and tactile modalities for an interactive, well-rounded approach to reading that helps students become accurate, proficient readers. Included in each class are fun games, hands on activities, poems and songs as well as reading and writing time for an "All About Me Book" each student creates over the course of the session. Rhythm Motion
Rhythm Motion classes are designed for children who have a desire to learn to dance, cheer, tumble or just have fun! We always have high energy classes that combine the basics of dance with fun aerobics across the floor and standing work, leaps, turns, creative movement, and so much more. The children will learn different ways to express themselves through dance and while working with their peers. There will be a performance to show their new routines for friends and family at the end of every session which is a fun way for them to showcase what they have learned from their Rhythm Motion experience. Success Through Chess
Success Through Chess is an educational program that helps students develop 21st century skills. Our curriculum has been designed and developed by Andrew Svehaug, former U.S. Scholastic Chess Champion, and Brian Svehaug, a multi-state chess champion, who has trained multiple State and National Champions. Sing N Speak Spanish makes learning conversational Spanish easy & fun! We set high educational goals but teach in a playful manner--with songs, humor, visuals, puppetry, games, role-playing, and a strong emphasis on the use of vocabulary in conversation. The Sing N Speak Spanish curriculum is far-reaching, going beyond many elementary and middle school curricula. Years 1 and 2 introduce basic vocabulary and simple grammar on subjects children relate to.
